Why is desperate guys/girls such a turn off?

As someone who thinks conversation and bonding is extremely important in a relationship, a desperate person would simply be my antithesis. It should not be "I want a gf/bf" but rather "I want to be with him/her". And then some people need to constantly be in a relationship. If your car break, it is normal to get a new one as quickly as possible because you need it for work and stuff. If a light bulb dies, it is normal to replace it immediately because you need light. Break out of a relationship? Get new lover ASAP! Seriously what the hell.

Simple: desperate individuals do not want to be with you for YOU. They want to be with ANYONE. There's no real intimacy involved, nor is there any mutual attraction that is anything other than superficial falsity. Now, being desperate to be with a SPECIFIC someone... That's a whole 'nother story :p

Rinar I have dated a few co-dependent people, very draining they can be. To some it is "I need a gf/bf." Sometimes it is best those types just get a good roommate they can trust and then be able to find who they really want it seems lol.

I know when I was very young and desperate to have a relationship with this girl from my school. Ofc it didn't went well and she just want to be friends after 2-3 months. But now I'm quite happy I dont have a relationship with her anymore, since i found out she is totally not my type. Moral of the story if someone is really desperate especially if it is one sided, then high change it won't go well. Love should not be rushed and you can be happy without a relationship as well, forcing one is never a good idea so yeah it can be a major turn off.

That can be true, if the person is extremely desperate with no self-control or regards for the others' feelings, rape can be an issue. They'd have to be really messed up in the head, though.
