Is Chrono Cross any good?

I played Chrono Trigger a few years ago, and I've wanted to play Chrono Cross, but I've heard some terrible things but I guess also some good things so I don't know.

yes but it does have flaws the story had a really great concept to it but the way its executed makes it too confusing. the final boss was disappointing and the ending was more of a cliff hanger the good points are the game had one of the best adventure journeys ever in a video game and it feels special they created a beautiful; world great and large cast of characters gameplay is very nice and unique memorable music NO RANDOM ENEMY ENCOUNTERS LIKE YOU FIND IN MOST RPGS! despite the flaws you cant help but love the game

I loved Chrono Trigger and tried Chrono Cross but it didn't really capture my interest so I stopped playing. But still give it a try, you might like it more than I did.

I have both Chrono Trigger and Chrono Cross i loved both games As for Chrono Cross i agree with devil_gene... BUT keep in mind Chrono Cross is NOT a sequel to Trigger but more of a sequel to Radical Dreamers for the NES witch in turn is more or less a spin off of the Chrono Trigger universe/ game! Anyway all in all IMO Chrono Cross is a really good/ great game soo give it a try

I found that Chrono Cross was a very engaging, aesthetically beautiful game, with good characters throughout. Yeah, there were some bits, as mentioned, that aren't exactly the tops, but, it's definitely worth a play through.

Being the music nerd that I am, I have to admit that one of the top things I like about Chrono Cross is that it has a really good soundtrack, in my opinion at least :p

Both are really great games, and honestly you should play both to get a better understanding of the story behind the universe it takes place it. Chrono Trigger is my favorite RPG of all time, next to the Paper Mario series, but yes. Chrono Cross is definitely a worthy investment.
