is using the word god overused?

Some Christians have abused, raped, killed... etc. I can say the same about atheists, Buddhists, Muslims and others. The only difference is that it gets more media attention when a supposedly religious person does since we're supposed to be all goody-goody.

Yeah, I think anyone can do crimes. It's all about their situation and mental state... Some crazy people will do crimes and not care about their religious beliefs or what's good/bad. They just do it.

Being religious gives way guidance and a way to live. It doesn't necessarily make you a better person. @nekonekofire Yeah, that's pretty much what I was trying to convey.

1. I think it's overused, definitely; It's blasephamous in my view, though It's become so institionialized that it's whatever I suppose. I don't care if other people so it, I just stick with gosh and it becomes just as natural. Same thing with other cusses; I'm so accustomed to saying "Dang nabit!" now I wouldn't doubt that people think I fake it, I live up north. 2. Hopelessness, cynicism, or just plainly the choice to not want to follow a religion. . I don't think you have to be a free-spirit type necessarily to believe those things as well. 3. The abuse thing happens. It's like that in many homes, religious or otherwise. That's a domestic, familiarly issue that can't be blamed on anything but the parents.
