The power outages sound bad, but then I did always want to try making a snowman and snow sculptures. XD I bet it'd be comfy to snuggle in blankets too.

@kohagura Being from the southern U.S., originally New Orleans I never really experienced snow as well but that's cool about Montreal.I been wanting to visit Montreal and Toronto as well as see Niagara Falls..Can you tell me a Lil about that city when you get there? Like the food and places to go? I heard a lot of people there speak not just French but English as well
@ amasawa and eru.You guys are lucky being Canadian :3 I never met any personally but heard you guys are super friendly. There's lots of countries I'd like to see but I'm afraid of getting on planes but the good thing about Canada is that it's connected to the U.S. so no need for air travel. And eru, if you love American food you should try New Orleanean, cuisine. We love po-boys, seafood, croissants, good fried chicken, we also have a huge sandwich called a Muffalotta..and my most favorite thing to eat of all time are the Hot Tamales from stands on the West Bank where I was born. Those things are heaven XD But I don't get a chance to go to New Orleans much anymore now that I live in Mississippi :/

Sure, once I'm there I can tell you what I see. :D May be a while still, though.
From what my friend who is living there says, everyone is pretty much bilingual in English and French, and some areas of the city are more French or more English. He only really uses French at work. I'm hoping to eventually learn it myself, but it's hard without being immersed. Japanese was really easy for me because I had plenty of immersion, but nobody here speaks French. XD

Thanks :D and French is a cool language.People think I'm Cajun French but most New Orleans people are creole. The Cajuns mostly live in the Bayous but they are friendly. And Japanese seems it would be a bit more difficult because of the non-Western alphabet writing. Was the writing harder or the speaking.Hey, I'm leaving right now but I promise I'll respond once I'm back. And I'm in a rush but if it's cool can I add you once I get back?

Of course. XD
And Japanese can look hard, but once you know how to read the hiragana/katakana it is much easier. It's not that hard really. Some people can learn it in 2 days. I remember before I learned the Korean alphabet, it looked really alien to me... but now I can sort of make out how to pronounce the writing.
For Japanese, everything is syllable-based and I think that makes it really easy compared to English where you have to know how to spell stuff that doesn't sound how it looks.
The only hard thing about Japanese is the Kanji/Chinese characters, which aren't super necessary actually, because kids don't know them all either, and Japanese people still learn it up to college. Even most Chinese people don't learn all of them.

Hello, I'm in Montreal. Oddly enough, I've only ever been to a convention once while I lived in Winnipeg.
