Log Horizon vs SAO

Watching "Log Horizon," one thing makes no sense verses how SAO does it. In LG, How the fk do you get "SUCKED" into a game world with just the Comp. screen and earphones, where as in SAO make more sense with more a Virtual-helmet that feels like you yourself are in the world? Now, don't get me wrong, I'm liking LH, yet WTF? Am I missing something on another episode. I'm barely on ep 10. season 2.

They might cover a back-story later on, on how this happened, or they may not. Not any weirder than being pulled into a Digital world with just a tv screen(Like Digimon :P). Possibility: What if... Instead... The REAL world became the game? Eh? Didn't think of that, huh? I mean, the world has some elements that weren't in it while it was 8bit(Such as cars, lights, and highways). At least I think it didn't have those...

I think It's just that SAO needs the explanation more than LH. If LH were to recieve info on how the Apocalypse happened now, it wouldn't really matter or effect the story at all. No one's really trying to get out (and I'm only on season 1 so forgive me if I'm missing something), and the show's premise is more on what the people do in the game, rather than what they attempt to do to get out. SAO is rather different. The main goal of the characters is to escape the game, so of course, you would need to know the way in to know the way out. It's also more serious, and usually shows like that are filed with explanations of how things are done.

Log Horizon way better then SAO. SAO is not even on the same level.

LOL really? log horizon only season 1 was descent i like the game anime genre alot soooo but log horizon season 2 the only some what intressting part was the raid for money the rest of this season SOOO FAR.... is mediocre at best it felt like a filer to watch dem kids i wanna see evil glasses do things. might get bit better later on i still have hope. About Sao i loved season 1 although i felt like it was rushed they should have taken more time to show us this game world of sao. after the first part of season 1 i was some what dissapointed the feelings u had about the story kinda left me about being stuck in a game was the greatest part about it all still it wasn't all to bad. Season 2 first part made me really happy again given me new hope cause the action was great the characters where intressting the story was hmmmm.. okay but descent enough again felt to short cause i wanted to know more about gun gale world second part of season 2 was feel trip but made me go meh i don't really care sorry...... i'll bet we get a season 3 whit this popularity but i wonder if it will be as good. back to the point i say by a margin Sao is better then log horizon but that's just my opinion also log horizon isn't finished yet so for now Sao -> log horizon. either way both are good anime. http://fc01.deviantart.net/fs71/i/2013/325/3/2/crossover__sao_vs_log_horizon__by_miizu_kun-d6v1en2.png

Dude, it's not even a competition. SAO just turned into generic fantasy later on that was all about Kirito, who could do everything. Everything turned to shit once the SAO arc ended, lol. Log Horizon has always stayed about life in a MMO, and has much more interesting characters that can do stuff than SAO. Which is mostly, Kirito and his harem.

Well I'll tell you this, SAO season 1 was a big "WOW." Season 2 was a drop, didn't wow me. LGH season 1, well didn't "WOW" me as much as SAO season 1. The LGH season 2 is doing better for me though. So It would have to be a competition of both seasons of which anime is better. So I still have not finishe LGH, nor is the season 2 finished.

I think Log Horizon has a worse "foundation" for their plot and setting while the plot and setting itself is splendid! While SAO has a close to perfect "foundation" but a pretty much bland plot and setting in comparison.

Both are really good! SAO focuses on human will-power at its peak when faced with life-or-death situations. Also having a lot of emotion behind the whole story. Log Horizon focuses on real-world troubles, and how humans can adapt to hard times, as well as being in a completely new world. And has a really rich storyline, more complex than any I've seen(As far as I can remember). Also, today, Log Horizon S2 ep 22, gave a little more information about how they got to the world and asked the same question "How the fk do you get "SUCKED" into a game world with just the Comp. screen and earphones." so they will give more information as the story continues on. V====Spoiler, don't read unless you saw ep 22 today====V http://mp4upload.com/embed-eyg591zbge6c-650x370.html . . . . . . . . . . What I saw is that they are in a new world, not "Diving" into the game, but more like being put into a new world mimicking the game, a parallel world with the workings as the game, with a 3rd party that doesn't know much about it either.

Gotta agree with Ichirai on this. Both series have their points, and where SAO gave you the "how" right away, Log Horizon took it's time to set up a theory of what happened in the latest episode. One thing that did stick out between the two was dealing with player death; in the first half of SAO season 1 life and death were just as real as outside the game, maybe worse in that external factors could cause the player's death as well (unplugging, removing the helmet, starvation for those who lived alone), while Log Horizon took the typical game route by respawning with an added twist of losing part of your mind when you go.
