It would probably be best to explain the rules. I did a search on the internet and it seems that in Japanese you would play by having each person say a word which begins with the same character that the previous word ended with. For example, suppose we take "shiritori" as the starting word. It ends with the letter I. Thus I respond: Indeed This "indeed" is the second word now, so the next person would choose a word that begins with D. It appears that the game also might have some kind of scoring system and favor longer words, but I am not familiar enough to know. I only did a quick internet search.

Oh, so maybe it's better to use a full syllable then? I don't know how you're supposed to play it in English.

Well, the way I know it, we use sounds rather than letters. Since you said 'Indeed', I'd need a word that begins with the sound 'deed' too, like: 'Didactic'
