Played it, thought it was really annoying that they let you change the difficulty and encounter rate in the menus :/ Completely trivializes the level deign. But other than that its great :p

how is having the option annoying? If you're a true gamer, like me, you picked 1 setting at the beginning and never bothered with it again. I don't even know HOW to change the setting to normal or easy

It's in the options settings. Its annoying because they give you the option to do so in the first place. If a boss is hard and requires some strategy, just flip the switch and its mega easy. You don't see final fantasy games do it so i don't know why they did it with this one :/ Probably to make it more causal if i were to guess. But like i said other than that its a faithful re-imagining of the old FF games like 3, 4 etc.

Really? It reminds me of FF5 because of the job system and crew you have. The only difference I see between the 2 is how you get jobs. Instead of shards from a crystal you gotta beat a side-boss, which is pretty sweet to me cause they're much harder than the regular bosses. I had to use my "Summon Friend" on both the thief and Merchant side quests. I will say that the auto-save kinda makes it easier but it's more like a time saver to me.

So I just got my summoner job... jeez that woman was a bitch... I thought I grinded enough to overpower her and I almost got my ass handed to me.
