Candidates for boyfriend/girlfriend

Have you ever had candidates to be your boyfriend/girlfriend? In the last months I used to have three, one of them was already discarded because she was already taken, and it kinda hurted me because she's a great friend who I care a lot about. Now I have two remaining, one is a friend from Twitter who lives in another continent and the other one is a supermarket cashier who I saw on Tinder but doesn't notice me.

As in people you wanted to go out with and like picking and choosing who you would go after and keeping back ups just in case?

Maybe. I have possible one here on MO whom I won't mention, and a few people I'm midly interested in Rl. But if you're talking about people that one knows that are interested in a possible relationship, just 1. XD

Wait I don't understand.. Like, being interested in 3 people and dating 1 but having two backups? Why does that sound shady to me...
