valentines

Valentine's Day is pretty over romanticized. I mean, it's great to get together for something special every now and again but its not like you should expect that to happen every time the 14th rolls around.

I agree with usagi.....but I think its an event for single people to find love or to provide the perfect opportunity to confess your feeling to the person you love

Personally, I don't mind not having a significant other on Valentine's day. The holiday has too much hype. Most of the things you do for your significant other on valentine's day you should be doing more regularly and not due to the holiday. It's just a day for America to make a ton of money on people feeling obligated to buy excess things for their relationship due to country-wide peer pressure.A lot of unnecessary stress for people trying to make it a perfect day for their significant other from this as well. Discounted candy kicks ass though.

i have a lot of ladies friends that buy me things but i have never had a signifigant other so I'm used to only getting candy and stuffs from friends .-.

Sigh... though as the day approaches, the chatter about it just keeps flooding my ears while walking about campus. "OTL V-Day just serves to be a painful reminder of love I crave to have again. Can't wait for it to pass so there's fewer reminders till the next year comes around, at least. XD
