Anime

When I draw anime/manga I tend to have the most difficult time on the hair and evening the pupils of the eyes to make them look identicle. Any suggestions?

Did you try using a ruler to create the center points? I did that so I knew they were even. After that a slight difference in size/shape doesn't mater as nothings perfect, even anime.

Eye patches and side ponytails. But in all seriousness, I used to have that problem, but I had a teacher that had me stop drawing faces facing forward, and had me draw drastically different angles. My drawings became less flat ever since, so yay for avoiding problems. Otherwise measurement tools or patience is the only tips that got me through dealing with symmetry.

well, if u want to draw things consistent, like a manga, u need to have every panel same hair, eyes etc, u can try with redrawable paper, the kind of overlay u can go over with a pencil and it will print on the bottom paper, friend of mine always uses it for templates :)

Do they really need to be identical? Human faces aren't exactly symmetrical. Maybe 'similar' is enough.

If you look at anime - the creators themselves make mistakes - some are major and some are very slight - but it's probably because in an animation - when things are in motion - you hardly notice. Aside from all that though - I would recommend doing base shapes first as a sketch to then dissecting it into parts and align the eyes according to how you have the face positioned.
