Depends on what kind of taste you have. I prefer something a little bitter, creamy and dark, like Guiness. Most seem to go for the watered down crap light beers, but I need flavor and not just alcohol. Be careful of some indie beers, sometimes thry are extra heavy on the hops, which makes them super bitter. Then you'll figure out if you like lager or ale more, I'm a lager man myself. I mich prefer to drink for flavor than just to get drunk. Also, I thought you said you were drinking yesterday?

Expect a difference, a better difference in real beer. A good brandy might be up your ally if you want to feel "fancy" as well, in moderation, mind you. It may be cheap, but christian brothers brandy isn't all that bad...probably not a good one for beginners or most people in general,but I like it. I also suggest maybe some rum like sailor jerry which isn't too bad and it makes for a good pina colada. Reall, it's better to stick with beer if you've never really drank before or don't want to really get drunk quickly .
