Phone contract recommendations

So I may have just cracked my phones screen and am now in need of a new one. Looking for a decent phone which is hopefully around £25 ($38). Any recommendations of what phone to get. Sidenote: please don't recommend iphones.

Oo. I hate creaked screens. Make sure you use a case and keep those phones out of your pockets! (Wow... now I sound old >w<) My best suggestion if go on ebay or craigslist and try to find a factory unlocked or pre-owned android phone. You can get older models for relatively cheap prices and just go into a local store for your provider and activate them. If I recall correctly you can also just call your provider to activate a used phone but I can't remember the specifics. Worth a Google search.
