I really hate the word "Otaku"

Just do what black people myself included did with the word nigger. Adopt that shit and use it as a term of enderment. Case in point "What up my nigga, you see that big booty bitch laquisha walk by?" Now say you are at an anime convention you can say."Alot of fine ladies in the place, you feel me Otaku?" I'm black so don't trip that i said nigga

It all depends on how you, as a single being, take the word. Some see it as an insult, others don't. I, for one, don't. I kinda like it despite knowing the negatvity in the original term. Your opinion hun.

I don't desire to "take back" the term - the N word is still used as an insult, and having some people use it differently just muddles the matter further. Otaku needs to fall out of use. Seriously what some of you wrote in here makes me want to take an angle grinder to something. Oh well. Maybe one day another dating site geared toward anime fans or people interested in the East will use something different as a term.
