Pets

What do you all prefer as a pet and why? If you dislike a type, also say why, But please let's keep this civil. I honestly love all kinds of animals, But Dogs and Cats are #1. Though I must admit, I have a favor more towards dogs, Especially large ones. I guess because of their amount of loyalty, affection and intelligence. My favorite kinds are German Shepherd and Belgium Shepherds. My favorite type of Cat's would be black(Because I have my shadow right here) and I guess tabbies for their long lives and size. A pet a couldn't live with? Spiders I guess, They creep me out and the first thing I do on reflex is to crush it when I see it.

I have one cat. (she's in my profile) I'd probably get a dog too if I didn't live in an apt since they need a decent amount of space to run around.

I've thought about getting a dog, but I dunno. Seems everyone I know is a cat person, but they seem too snooty for my tastes. Never been to good with pets though, got a bad history of them running away or dying. Had birds and they killed each other, fish and they ate each other, turtles that ran away, I could go on. makes me think I shouldn't bother.

She told me I could have it back at the end of the year, I waited and went to get it and she didn't give it back, said it melted in the trunk of her car but wouldn't show me. I think she threw it out and forgot about it, or maybe gave it away and figured I wouldn't come back.
