Kind of sad that Togainu no Chi did not have the ending I was expecting. v__v But it was a good anime nonetheless. o-o Any one have other opinions on it? Plus, I did a little research and apparently Togainu no Chi started out as a game? Did it really? .__. I'm not understanding if it was really a yaoi anime since there was only boys. I figured it was just a bishi anime considering the amount of good looking men as main characters, no? O-o;

It was actually a Yaoi dating sim game. Apparetnly they took a lot out to make it into an anime. Of course I've been putting off the last episode 'cause I know it's not going to have the ending that I'd want from the game.

I hate to say it, but I never finished this show. The yaoi tones were just too strong for me to continue ignoring. It had promise though.

I've read the manga and so far it doesn't blare YAOI!! to me like the anime seems.. I wish to cosplay Kau but that would be hard >^>

It did! It started from the game of the same name by the company Nitro+Chiral. I played the game and loved it. The game is definitely a 18+ Boys Love game, so it's what you call yaoi. Such a great atmosphere, action and a sweet soundtrack. When I heard it was going to be adapted into manga and an anime series two thoughts crossed my head. -I can't believe my eyes, they are adapting another BL game and Togainu no Chi nonetheless! I can die peacefully now. and -Is it going to have 12 chapters? I'm sure they'll soften it. If they made an OVA things would have been entirely different. I haven't finished watching it, but I plan to. I think they made it into a shounen ai from what I've heard and seen so far, meaning they made it MUCH softer than the game. I still have to confirm if the anime is shounen ai or can be labeled as yaoi and which route they chose. I'm afraid I won't like it that much, but I'm happy that they adapted it and they didn't kill the style which was one of my initial fears. Still they went for an all audiences format (shounen ai and few meat for the fangirls) and chickened out. It made me sad but I can understand why. They also killed the opening from the game which was great, I think the opening and ending from the anime are nice but sound too commercial and lost the game's essence, that disappointed me a bit.
