I do feel it's disturbing and unhealthy to prefer something 2d, online or not, over a real person, so call that unwelcome if you like. I'm not sure what side to go for now... One side of me wants to see how serious this can get, but at the same time I'd like to difuse the tension in the thread. I've had to deal with tons of people like you over the years, I've heard every argument you people can toss out about whats wrong with 2D love and the fact of the matter is it really just comes down to personal preference. we're not sick just because you don't like it. @Jikoshy Porn is made with real people, but if you want to talk about how real people are more meaningful than drawings you really shouldn't bring up an industry that's generally focused on reducing relationships down to sex for the sole purpose of fulfilling animalistic instincts. Going by your logic masturbating to child and beastiality porn is less unhealthy than masturbating to drawings because the children and animals are real.

@Jikoshy The same could be said about bringing up porn while trying to convey what makes humans human. A low effort argument deserves a low effort response.

I just have issue with people being put down for having sexual/romantic desires that are different from what is considered "normal". Also there really isn't such a thing as "normal", only what is considered socially acceptable or not. I would bet that more than 95% (probably more like 99.999%) of people have sexual desires or fantasies that fall outside of what's considered socially acceptable. The problem is that many people develop all sorts of guilt related neurosis because they think they are abnormal because of those desires because they see others being bullied or put down for having supposedly unusual desires or have been bullied themselves. I prefer real people over 2d because one of the major components of a relationship I find fulfilling is all the physical aspects. Someone to talk to face to face, hear the subtle tenor of their voice, see the beauty of their expression, feel the warmth of their body and of course sex. Even though that's my preference and I may state why that is my preference, I can still see why others would have a different preference. Real people can hurt you, are unpredictable, wildly emotional and illogical, complicated. 2d girls can provide a much more soothing emotional fantasy for people who don't want to deal with the pain and complication of real people. I try not to insult people who have different views or desires than myself even if I don't agree with them. I may argue why I think one thing is better than another but I can't hold it against someone for liking something different.
