Notice Me Senpai

ladysweetnightmare
Hello everyone~ I'm new here and I wanted to make my presence known. I figure a lot of these introductory threads are the same so I thought I would try something a bit different. I want to get to know some of you and make friends so I have come up with a list of questions for you all to answer so I can get to know you. Questions: 1. How many of you almost didn't click this because of the over-used title? 2. When did you first embrace your inner anime nerd/What anime was the first you had ever watched? 3. If you could live in any anime universe, which would it be? 4. What anime made the biggest impact on you? What about this anime made a special place in your heart? 5. Do you prefer manga or anime? Why? 6. What is the craziest anime hair style you have ever seen? Happy posting!

1. Didn't. I made a habbit of welcoming every new otaku I met. It's important to make people feel welcome u know? :) 2. The first anime I watched was Tenjou Tenge, but the one that hooked me up was School Rumble. I first watched it in a strange Spanish dialect and it was funny how quick I forced myself to understand what was going on! 3. Any school comedy/romance etc... I don't need superpowers. I just want a happy and relaxed life. Also I pretty much missed on my high school years so I always watch those with some sort of nostalgia... 4. Again, school rumble, but probably even more so Kimi ni Todoke. I didn't cry watching it, but it got to me on a level that NOTHING else has managed to. I also decided that I wanted to create content after watching it so... 5. I used to prefer anime because it was more comfortable to grasp, but manga offers you so much more than cuts of 25 mins each... Also, my view on manga is that it really allows you to get directly into the authors brain and see stuff from their point of view... 6. EASY! Yugi's, from Yu Gi Oh! That said, welcome to the site, person with the long name!

1) As a Senpai, how could I ignore when it say's notice me? lol. 2) First I ever watched was Ronin Warriors, the one that kicked me into high Otaku gear was strangely enough Tri-Gun 3) I'd pick any universe that had the concept of Dimensional Travel, That way I could visit any of them as I saw fit. 4) Anime that has a special place in my heart....Toradora I think. 5) Anime actually, Watching the characters I love show life is a great feeling. 6) Hmmm has to belong to Grevil from Gosick...a mixture of the drill hairstyle and the delinquent one. Question for you now, What brought you to MaiOtaku?

1. I didn't think anything of it, In fact it reminded me of this one parody song on youtube a friend showed me. 2. Hmm, I have just liked anime, Never really cared for hiding anything so~. Naruto was my first, First saw it around age 7 3. Any? hmmm, I guess Tokyo ghoul. If I'm a ghoul, I'd be a cannibal and if I were human I'd be an investigator 4. Naruto, it was my first and my favorite show for more then half a decade. 5. Depends, If the anime follows it per say 75% then it, But any less without a good reason then manga. 6.Good question, I have no idea which was the craziest of them all.

Hurray! People have answered my call :D Haha, as for the first question I'm surprised. My friend usually gets annoyed when I say "Notice me senpai"... Then again I say it because it annoys her. That is the reasoning for the first question~ @ kc_watz: I think pokemon was probably one of my first animes I watched as well.. Although at the time I was unfamiliar with what anime was so I just saw it as another cartoon. I think the first anime that I knew was an anime was Evangelion. @Key: Yes, I do have along username xD Feel free to call me Ciara if you want. Also, School Rumble is the bomb diggity. My friend recommended Kimi ni todoke to me and for some reason I just keep forgetting to continue it.. I have started quite a few series that I have yet to finish, but it looks cute... So hopefully I'll get back to it in the future. @panda_kun: The Attack on Titan universe sounds exciting, but I also feel like I would be terrified out of my mind. I think the 3-D maneuver gear would be pretty nifty though. Haha feel free to ask me any questions you'd like. @Talonvoren: Thank you for noticing me senpai! I wasn't familiar with Gosick so I looked the character up and laughed. That is definitely some wonky hair. As for what brought me here... Boredom~ I just really like to talk with people and I was looking for a place where I could find a good group of people with similar interests.

@leo_ss: What song is that? Also, Naruto is one of my favorites. I think it was one of the first animes I picked out on my own (Before then, I just watched anime with my dad).

1. Nahh 2. My friend told me to watch Naruto sophomore year of high school, and then I watched some better stuff and got hooked. 3. Maybe, based purely off of the universe, Log Horizon. All of the fun of SAO without the risk of dying permanently. 4. Biggest impact, although it isn't my very favorite, is gurren lagann, because it inspired me to lose some weight and get through a sad break up. 5. Anime, because sometimes I find manga cluttered and the characters seem so much more interesting when they actually move and talk. 6. Yugi's is the craziest, not even close.
ladysweetnightmare
@otterotter: I don't think I have ever heard of Log Horizon, but not dying permanently is always a good thing, ha. Wow, that is a pretty big impact. I'm glad you were able to get out of that rut. People have recommended Gurren Lagann to me, but I haven't gotten around to it yet. Yes, I agree that Yugi's hair is pretty crazy.
