What's Your Manga about?

So after reading the "My Own Manga" post from embracethemadness, I started thinking of my own manga that I had been trying to work on and off. I'm more into the artist aspect, than the writer aspect. And I've had a hard time with creating the story I want, I have a vague idea, but not enough to make a cohesive story line. I don't know if I ever will make the manga, but its a hobby for now. I know there are probably so many people here who have thought of making their own manga at one point, but just never got around to it. So I thought it would be a great idea to hear what kind of manga you have in mind, and maybe bounce some ideas around. I'm not looking to steal any ideas but to get the creative juices going. So I'll go first, My Manga is mainly a BoyLove genre. It takes place at a school, a club, and a home. My main character's name is Adam, he is a closet gay and a sex addict. Though he hasn't gone as far as to do drugs, or do any other illegal activities that is commonly associated with severely addicted sex addicts. That is until he meets someone he recognizes in a video at his school, a boy named Stefan. Adam notices Stefan do not want to be a social elite among most of the students in the school, in fact he gives almost everyone the cold shoulder! Except when its comes to members of the GSA Club. Slowly Adams curiosity for Stefan grows, but how far will Adam's inquisitiveness lead him to, before he finds himself backed into a corner. Obviously, this manga can go two ways it can have a dark storyline, or a dramatic love storyline. I've been researching info on sex addicts and various other info for my character's for a better understanding on how to properly portray their personalty's with their disorder. As for finding a title for the Manga, I'm having trouble coming up with one :/

I have various manga ideas, I have one that's a coming of age story of a multi bred child, another that's a crazy comedy and another about a group of teens trying to make a living at anime conventions

I don't have any artistic talent but back when i wrote i was told i had writing talent. i'm very open to a wide variety of ideas and actually helped write a slash story but back on topic all of mine have been about romace

Oh I have to admit I love darker storylines better than romantic drama. I also feel like it's a hobby and I'll never get to end it, but one can dream. My manga is a Boys Love story too, about a naive angel called Reiki who is kicked out from heaven and sent straight into the dark depths of hell, with almost no knowledge of how things work there. So he has to figure out what to do from that moment on and find a place for him. This is the story of his journey and the individuals he finds across it, each one being crazier than the previous he encountered and eventually helping him to adquire knowledge in exchange for his innocence. Which won't be an easy task at all...

I always have trouble thinking of titles too! One I've been perpetually drafting is set in the future during a World War III type setting. The military has satellite bases where they have been testing gene-splicing between humans and animals to create superhuman armies. The first animals to be tested were house pets, including a kitten that would become the first successful and capable warrior. BUT OF COURSE the experimentee is suffering mutations, is not happy with it's current situation, breaks shit, and escapes. The manga would be following this mutant as it grows, dodges the military, and returns in hopes of stopping the creation/enslavement of mixed breed armies. Maybe some loves with the doctor that took care of the cat and child who were used to create her.

My manga outline Protagonist: Male, 18-22yrs old, no amazing skill sets at the beginning, unproductive citizen after graduating high school, madly in love with main female lead who is a close friend of his Plot: protagonist joins military to become a better person and gain some direction in his life. he sees that the way he is currently, he couldn't ever think about being a worthy person to be with his current crush. While in the military, he realizes his combat potential and continues to train. A year after joining, his country is invaded and they declare war. He then realizes that the point of the invasion was his hometown and requests to be attached to the special unit that is in charge of liberating that area. They arrive at his hometown, now wrecked and ravaged by war, and engage the invading force at an internment camp. He finds the girl he is in love with and she decides to stay by his side (as a friend still). That ends the first few chapters of my manga. The rest of the story will develop his relationship, how its affected by the war, and ultimately how he affects the war and how the war affects the world. Time frame: occurs between current day ~ near future Area: Real world (ex: North America, South America, Europe, Asia, Africa) Genres: Action, Romance, Drama, Comedy, War what do you guys think about this plot? its been developing in my head for quite some time and this is the first time i've shared it. i'm really open to discussion about it! :D

I really like the ideas I'm seeing. I've never really been into BL, but romance is romance therefore I wholly approve. I've always liked romance stories that had a potentially dark twist to them. Maybe not physically dark, but emotionally? It can really get psychological. I'm also huge on war stories, I really can't get enough of them. It's the strategies and weird war logic that gets me hooked. And military tested escapees? Perfect. I have to say that I think the idea I like most so far is k3nsh1n4life's. While I love a good romance, your story seems to have more of the warlike feel I admire. It sounds like it might pull at my heartstrings a bit, too! Have any of you thought too hard about illustrating your ideas? I know that Sica mentioned it in her post, but not in great detail. Are you planning on doing it yourself? Working with someone else? As far as my story goes, it's not a manga. :P

Im not sure about the title though but i have an idea for some outlines. Demographic would be Shonen(but would be a bit of bi-shonen just like Tsubasa reservoir chronicle). Genre would be Romance, Fantasy, Action, & Adventure. Main characters consist of two guys and two girls. Age range are from 18 - 22 years old. The two guys had incredible super powers that they inherited through their clans.One had this super power that he contains in his body like a tattoo. He had the power to manipulate it and turn it into weapons, shield or even a doppelganger but it cannot be separated in his body or else there would be a huge consequences.He is hot headed and became enemy with the other guy the first time he saw him because their clan were the biggest rivals for out of 5 clans for a long time and the other guy thought that he knew something about his uncles death. He fell in love with one of the girl protagonist who he met at the alternate world at a school campus while he was lurking around the area. Shes smart,a bit clumsy and very silent and happens to be close friends with girl #2. The second guy is a dead serious one. He doesn't smile, nor show any kind of expression. He contains a natural strength which were undeniably really strong that he gained training with his uncle in the mountains. He is equipped with two twin short katana blades that could turn into a crescent-like twin blades.His uncle was assassinated by unknown people that he pursues on finding.And he never completed some of the trainings with his blade.But he still pushed himself in finding the guys who assassinated his uncle that is how he met the other guy and the girl #1.Girl #1 is somewhat a Tsundere but not as much.Shes a bit of loudmouth and does everything in enthusiastic way. And she never runs out of stories to tell. She was the one who actually fell in love first with him but he doesn't notice.
