Itasha / Itansha

I have no problems being told I drive a "cute" car. Next car I'm gonna get I'm probably going to do a full wrap. That'll probably be like at least 6 months down the line. People ask me all the time what's on my back window. I always tell them it's my last name in Japanese. They get the joke and laugh pretty hard. The way I see it, itasha serves as a huge theft deterrent system. No gansta wanna been behind da wheelz of one of my bad boyz; ya know homie? Around my part of the world (especially in my zip-code) I've actually seen a hand full around on the road. There's a huge car seen here in H-Town and they sometimes appear at car meets. Nice!! *_* I like the kawaii gas cap definitely makes getting gas better I bet. ^-^ yeah I wanna go pretty crazy like that Mercedes if I do it, but with the bike cause I figure it'll be cheaper / easier to cover that thing up lol ^^;.

I think it's got a time and a place... Mostly if you have an extra car. I wouldn't want to go to an important interview or meeting in an itasha...

I did and got hired (shrugs). I love the looks I get when I step out my itasha and I'm in full business suit. http://a.nime.me/0044/4623/jazzy_me.jpg To me it's no different when people put decals, stickers, and magnets of their favorite sports teams on their vehicles. I see that stuff all the time on the back windows of trucks/SUVs. In many cases it covers the whole back window. I even see people put wolf and eagle wraps on their back windows. Even the tow trucks down here I see them decorated with with Looney Toon and superhero characters.

Pretty sweet. I had an ex-coworker that has an actual S13 Silvia K's tuned by Top Secret. If I can find the pic I'll post it. (Might have been deleted when I accidentally reformatted my micro SD card.
