As much as id like to start a debate, I'll let it go. Just wanna say gay people dont go around saying faggot all the time.. I mean "wassup my faggot" or hearing it in music a bazillion times isn't a thing. Its just one of the most offensive words in the context of describing homosexuals

Kishi, I'm not arguing the fact that saying these to a person is OK or acceptable, only giving literal definitions. The term nigger became racist when americans enslaved Africans and brought them over in the ships. This intensified when slave owners continued this trend. As years went by, yes, it most certainly is a racial slang, used to put down African americans. As far as faggot being a cigarette or bundle of sticks, those are British idioms, also slang. I most certainly didn't mean any offense by this, and if you got offended, I apologize.

To me, yes its an offensive word, and it shouldn't be used by anyone i don't care who you are. My friends use the word to refer to themselves and to me. Its the stupidest thing.

I believe anyone should say what they want to. However, you should be prepared to face negative repercussions if you offend someone because not everyone takes things the same. I don't say it. I find it very de-humanizing.
