What is the ultimate purpose of life?

kain_karasu
Survival of the species, so in other words...the booty.

To love. To experience. To laugh. To cry. To live and then die. Life is an experiment, and we are the labrats. No two people are going to get the same results. Thats what makes life so damn interesting.

So your saying one will experience all things interesting and in happiness while the other one experiences a " whats so great about life anyway and why fucking bother?

I think it's different for everyone. For me it is to go places and see people and have a good time.

The true purpose of life is death. For without death life would be meaningless. Death gives us the much needed push to make our lives meaningful. It helps us to push past our limits and achieve a great deal of innovative things. From Building unique skyscrapers to teaching the next generation its all brought about by ones need to leave their mark on the world before they die. For me I want to make anime and manga that can help people through difficult times in their life and possibly build the greatest anime and manga production studio ever. Oh and I also want to be a Father and a husband. Sorry to take the Dark depressing route but I had to put my serious face on XD

@altair: Yeah, it's true that our mortality drives us to build a legacy for future generations. If I were immortal, I'd most likely be a hermit looking for ways to leave this world.
altair88
Yes my friend immortality would suck. Mainly cause it would be like watching the world burn around you.
kain_karasu
But just think about all the things you could learn, the things you could see, plus if you're immortal that means you could eventually travel to every solar system in our galaxy, and eventually other galaxies. The possibilities are endless man...
altair88
@ Karasu you make an interesting point but, an example of that albeit the fictional character Amazo traveled the vast universe learned all it could yet was still lonely and lacked knowledge of a purpose. Immortality would be a blessing and a curse. Everyone you know and come to know will eventually cease. Possibilities being endless correct, but lonely. That and in all likelihood you would either go mad or lose knowledge of your purpose. But I'm just rambling, besides I guess we won't know till it happens.
kain_karasu
I'm sure that in all that time you could figure out how to make other people immortal, you guys could have a book club or something... >.> idk man, the possibilities are endless no need to burn bridges...unless they're covered with spiders...then by all means burn the damn bridge.
