What are good Starter Animes for newbs?

shyisuppose
Ive realized when good friends start to ask about what anime they should watch for the sake of our friendship I get to think a lot bcs I want to present them sth great they enjoy so they may continue. But Im not too sure if my picks were right. So I ask them what genre they might like. If they say sth like Psychological its easy. I always recommend Death Note or Steins;Gate. But in many cases I dont really have a clue whats good for beginners... So get me and maybe some other ppl who have the same problems advice!

@KawaiiAttack I think Clannad isnt too good for a beginner since u really need to get used to the animation and 50 episodes is a bit too long for starting Same with FMA

hm it usually depends on what their preference genre are in other things like movies/tv shows. i would start them off with short anime like paranoia agent, flcl, hero tales, chobits. (just some examples) so they can have a different variety of anime genres to get a taste of before they decide if they wanna keep getting into anime or not so they can get into the bigger and more hard core series

Cowboy Bebop. Not too long, not too short, there's a story line, but there's also other cool things that happen.

You have to know the persons "Genre" to know what would be a good starting anime. They may not like what you like. I like a lot sport anime, and I will recommend most of them, yet most will probably say no to them. So easier to go with "Genre."

Here "adventure:" Two Different story line anime. "Fullmetal Alchemist," then there is the "Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood." Two different version story lines. I like Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood better.

Death Note and Cowboy Bebop, they're not discourage-ly long and they're very good. "Ghiblies", you can't go wrong with Ghibli Studio Fate/stuff (zero, stay night, etc.) FMA, Shaman King, Soul Eater and other classic shonen (50-60 episodes isn't too long too)
