Favourite Music And/Or Favourite Artist, Group, Band

Doesn't have to be related to anime or manga. Simply tell us what your favourite genre of music is, and what your favourite artist, group, or bands might be. My favourites are Imagine Dragons, Coldplay, The Bloodhound Gang, Gwen Stefani, Daft Punk, Our Lady Peace, The Gorillaz, Linkin' Park, Muse, Big Sugar, Deadmou5, K'Sandra, and WoodenToaster.

Dir en grey, X-Japan, Luna Sea, Vamps, Acid Black Cherry, Janne da Arc, D, Dio (like Ronnie James Dio), Black Sabbath, Judas Priest, Iron Maiden, Pantera, Metallica, Slipknot, Soundgarden, Audioslave, Rage Against the Machine, Rush, Smashing Pumpkins, Pearl Jam, Lords of Acid, Sick Puppies, Volbeat, Apocalyptica, Nightwish, Cradle of Filth, Kittie, and way too many more to go into. I have been raised on metal. Lol

Missally you have some good taste. I like a bit of a variety. I mostly consider myself as one that likes rock, and I like most kinds of it. Even some lighter alternative rock. I also like some metal as well, particularly when it emphasizes a melody. Outside of that I try not to hate other music. Some of it is just plain awful, but it's no so much the genre as specific songs. I do have a little thing for country too, simply because it's what my voice is most suited for. Though I never really seek it out. So for bands, I like Foo Fighters, 3 Doors Down, Three Days Grace, Daughtry, Papa Roach, Pop Evil, Disturbed, Korn, Five Finger Death Punch, Volbeat, Metallica, Tool, Sick Puppies, and so on. I like some older stuff too, like Guns n Roses or Aerosmith. And then I still find myself enjoying Jpop and Kpop, mostly as anime opening/ending themes. I even enjoy some orchestral music, which I discovered through game OSTs like Final Fantasy X's. Piano and Violin pieces are very nice. I don't even really hate rap, so long as it's not just about sex, drugs, and violence. Some of it is really degrading and I just can't listen to it. I can even live with pop music, if it's catchy.

I think the main genres I usually jam out to are Emo, Post-Rock, Math-Rock, Chill Wave/Mellow Electronic, Jazz, and Skramz. My favorite bands would hands down have to be Toe, Te', American Football, Empire! Empire! I Was A Lonely Estate, This Will Destroy You, Baths, Tricot, Uchu Conbini, Minus The Bear, This Town Needs Guns, Pavement, Speedy Ortiz, etc. Obviously there are tons more I listen to but those are just a few. I'm also a musician myself and am actually in the process of recording an EP. I'll be heading into the studio by the end of this month to record the first two songs for it so I'm really excited. \m/
