All my irl anime friends are assholes

So its obvious no matter where you live theres gotta be at least one other person who's heard of anime... well all of those people are either light light watchers or complete garbage human beings, or maybe just incompatible with my inverted self also my dating lives in the drain... tips words of advice tell me whatcha got!

Never hurts to ditch them all and just watch anime locked up in your room wrapped up in your blanket. <3 Or find new friends to be with :D

I don't seem to have that problem. As for me, I'm okay with light light watchers as most of my friends and myself have full time jobs. Can't really watch a lot. Maybe look for a meetup group in your area for anime fans and geekery. I've met a lot of like-minded friends because of meetup.com

I have 3 friends who I can call somewhat of an otaku 2 fat people who has never heard of dieting and one of them doesn't even want a real gf, cuz masturbating to hentai is enough for him The other guy who has learned about anime and started to love it because of me sees watching anime as a competition ... I didn't even know it could be viewed as such. But he makes everything a ffing competition and always wants to be the best. Thing is though he always sucks and loses in almost everything he does, but that's not his fault, he always has excuses. He only watch new anime and mostly mainstream things but don't know animes such as SHUFFLE, school rumble and such things unless I or someone else tell him about it. He's also totally untrust worthy and prefers to fap to hentai and other porn instead of going out and have some fun. (his own words btw) His favorite anime is SAO and doesn't want you to say any about it that makes it sound bad or just have an overall thought about it that differs his. Everything he says or does is correct though he's mostly incorrect. Those are people you don't want to be seen with on the streets or anywhere for all that matters. So I think most otakus are just douchbags and the good ones are unnoticeable because they aren't as loud mouthed and don't really stand out that much like the other assholes .....

i have that exact problem alot of the time where i meet a somewhat cool guy at first but it turns out hes just a pretentious jerk who wants to turn things into a competition even anime... although you just watch it. Also his fav anime's SAO that says alot about a person...

Indeed ... sao had a lot of potential though, I watched it completely but it ruined it. They just see the main character and think that is me, I'm the best ... even if I have to cheat it makes me the best and such .... All the chill otaku I know live on the other side of the fricking planet. I know a cool guy from australia, a few from Japan, America and from the philippines And those from here in Belgium ... only one of them is actually a cool chill guy but he lives so far that I never see him. I met him only one time even though I knew him from online trough his gf. He was really nice and we had a lot of fun even though it was somewhat awkward at first XD

Most people who I meet are genuinely decent people if they're otaku, although everyone has their quirks. That being said, finding single female ones are my toughest challenges, at least outside of cons.
