Uhm....so like...

Just curious since I'm all new and shiny to the website. What sort of people frequent the website?!? OBVIOUSLY there's a particular fanbase - just curious about the ratio of friendly people to people who are not as outgoing.

I'm sure really we can only speak for our individual selves. But, to give you an idea, I'm probably one of those guys you wouldn't want to be left alone with. I'm a die-hard firearms fanatic (more than an otaku, but that's not to say that BOTH aren't a major part of who I am) and ex-Military...so...I'd fit into the latter category. Though I'm sure that there's many others here who aren't.

Well I appreciate the response. I suppose I should have clarified in that this was more of finding social vs. unsocial personalities. I enjoy talking and having a good time, however, from my experience there is a group within the anime community where they do become more anxious in social situations. I'm not sure being online merely changes that fact here or not.

Oh...in that case...Hi! I'm an anti-social introvert who's also no stranger to performing on stage. So, with that said, I'd probably fit in the...in the...err...uhm...I guess I'd fit into the "I'm fine interaction" group...maybe? Because I'm an introvert, I generally won't talk or interact unless it's something that I know. That being said, being online does change things to a degree. Introverts generally (this is a gross generalization) prefer online interactions mainly because they can control how much of it they get/do. That way, they don't get exhausted from interacting too much. Anyways, welcome to MaiOtaku! And hopefully there's more who interact here, otherwise this will get very awkward very quickly.

I'm in between. I don't talk and post as much as half the individuals on here, but I'm definitely not anti-social by any means. Hope no offense is taken by this, but you kinda look like Rob Corddry from Hot Tub Time Machine. The dude is a pretty cool actor.
