Wierdest Breakup ever

yuusaku_godai
Dude, that sucks. Yeah, I could never be in a serious relationship with a religious person. If I were to have kids of my own I would fight tooth & nail to raise them Atheist or at least neutral so that they can decide themselves.

China Japan can't we shaaaare the islands? THEN EVERYONE IS HAPPY!!! LOL I still think that alot of these break ups people do it for dumb reason.. least you won't have to spend the rest of your life with that person! I don't have anything to say on my behalf, As I never had a boyfriend before. T w T

Yusaku@ yeah im more open to a religious person as long as they are ok with my views. I understand though i would prefer if I had any kids that they grow up the same way free to choose. @Stella Yeah thats relationships usually in either its something that is long term issued or in the moment of the heated exchange of emotions which causes said breakup.

@Shinyumi That is the saddest story I've ever heard...

That sucks to hear. The newer generations of SoKo, China, and Japan are a bit less prejudiced than the older generations nowadays. There are still issues between each nations but each of the countries acted brutally towards one another through war crimes, politics, and etc. So for your ex to get hung up over something like territory it seems almost a little childish (no offense). The past is the past and most likely she doesn't know the full story surrounding the situation and seemed to play the victim card, but this event happened a little over a hundred years ago and I doubt she's old enough to have seen any of the immediate effects of the takeover. I'm not saying that for Japan to take the islands was right at all, but the biggest problem with moving forward in country relations and race tensions is the inability to move on and those that aren't mature enough to look past a century ago and just forgive and overcome those issues. China has done bad things, Korea has done bad things, Japan has done bad things, and so has every other nation. This is why I'm glad the newer generations are friendlier with one another and have been able to slowly dissolve the tensions between each other. I'm sorry about what happened between you and your girlfriend, but I don't think she handled it in a mature manner at all and if she's going to be racial about it I think you're better off without someone so ignorant (also the fact she broke up with you over something over a century old that doesn't really concern her at all).

@wingeater FINALLY someone who understands me LOL. Man, I had 3K+ hours of just Brawl data alone on that Wii. None of which was spent afk, if I was gonna make a sandwhich, or take a shower? I turned that damn Wii off, I made sure it was accurate Lol.

@toe, Mmm well maybe the younger generations are less nationalistic as compared to the older generation, but that number is still rising in a lot of countries these days just basically due to economic stress. That'll happen/is happening pretty globally though like in Greece (Oh god, especially Greece) and even in the USA. But I think it's pretty natural that the older generations do feel this way. I mean the range of age of surviving ww2 soldiers are in the late 70-90s so that's pretty in the grandparents age range. That's not all that terribly removed, and then it doesn't help that they all like to needle each other now and again over issues like the islands or fishing rights, etc. @OP: I don't necessarily agree with her reaction, but I understand why she reacted that way. Haha, maybe it's cause I watch so much foreign news. But yeah, like I said, the islands are a particularly sensitive issue for the countries involved in it. Even Taiwan is pissed about it and Taiwan is as pro-japan as you'll ever get in a country habituated by majority ethnically chinese. People get really heated up about stuff like this. Lord knows I fight with my parents from time to time over asian politics and whatnot. It always ends in fuming silence but they can't break up with me so I suppose I got you there :D
