if you want to chat,go to tinychat.com/maiotaku~ thats were a lot of the active members go (such as me and sion ;D) its 18+, though, so if your under that age, just don't say how old you are or you'll have to be kicked out (tinychats rules)
There's also a group Skype that's growing; post or message me your email/name or whatever and I'll add ya. But yeah, getting a conversation going with someone on this site isn't as comfortable as maybe some other sites I've been to.
Lurkers chat among themselves so that's why it's hard to find those peeps
