Log Horizon. Mixed feelings Dx

So, I just finished watching the first episode and I'm not sure how I feel about it :/ Is it worth pushing through?

I like it. Alot of people gave up on it after episode one because they think it's an SAO rip. It's not. It's definitely interesting if you're a rpg gamer because it has some pretty cool subclasses and the main character isn't a heavy hitter. Give it a few more episodes and if you don't like it by then drop it. My rule of thumb is episode three if it's a short series and ep 5 if it's a longer one unless I can't stand it by 3.

im on ep.22 and ive been loving it... if you want to throw it in with SAO you can but being a big fan of SAO i can say this is really good too because even though the ground work is similar it is still a very different anime that can stand on its own but you need to give it a few episodes to actually form an opinion :)

I would say this anime is alot like Maoyuu Maou Yuusha, or Spice and Wolf where the characters, intrigue, and world building is more important than action scenes and fan service. There is a scene which most of the episode is at a round table, but the dialogue is as tense as an action scene. This is what most of the show is like, but it does it so well without pandering to the audience that when it does pander to the audience it almost feels out of place sometimes. Also it may seem the story will expand outside of the Japanese server later on.
