Help me with my story QAQ

Alright just got home i can go more in depth now >:3 So basically the story is set future setting japan (yeah super weebish ik XD) the crime rate has been steadily increasing in japan. More acts of violence are being committed, higher gang activity, and a shortage of space in their prisons. Its leaders decide to crack down on their laws to combat it. Since They could not afford to house all the different inmates they team up with a company to build a super prison that houses all these dangerous inmates. They then cull the population of inmates by having them pretty much participate in a battle royal styled event. Only its in groups, where one group hunt the other in a blood sport sort of thing. Eventually other countries wanted to join in this project since it would also solve their problems of having to house these rejects of society. The wealthy and powerful also wanted to use this as a way of betting. Obviously the members wouldnt just kill each other for no reason so they came up with a rule that for each person you kill its a year removed off your sentence. Alot of prisoners recieving thousand year sentences would see this as an opportunity to be reintegrate to society. Thats pretty much what i have so far. Forgive me if it sounds corny or generic

oohhh i love gang/yankee/yakuza stories sounds like the purge+death race+kaji who would be your idea for a protagonist? a gang leader or some schmuck down on his luck?

@lamby i posted it in the last page. Pretty much a dude who has lost everything and doesnt really care whether he lives or dies. But (obvious cliche is obvious) he meets a girl who i guess is worth fighting for? xD

hmmm pretty cliche i agree, but nothing too wrong with cliches if you can add your own spice to them >w>/ who is the girl? why is he fighting for her? @dat boi the place i lived in the uk had drug dealings happen out the windows of the flat even had a dude jump out of a second story window because he was scared to get caught by the cops perks of living near council housing (never had a problem there personally though, just a lot of crazy yelling at night)

japanese criminals usually = yakuza and i guess the yakuza are involved in the drug underworld, so

ive lived in a council estate for the past 13 years and ik dealers i just wouldnt ever get involved in dealing or doing drugs cause i aint tryna get cheffed over some bs

Fair enough, but yeah i guess yakuza will be present...not that they will be the main focus point. But gives me an idea for a character tbh Actually the girl is someone who was bullied like him. Only she used to be a bully in order to fit in but her friends didnt like her much and ended up turning on her and ruining her life. She then accidentally kills someone who tried to force themselves on her and get slaps with prison time anyway. The reason the guy is attracted to her is because she reminds him of his old friemd who passed away
