Meeting at conventions?

I agree with the picture thing. If she is in cosplay ask for a picture, that's like 100% no pressure, unless she's getting asked by multiple people at the same time =\. I asked a couple girls that i was interested in for a picture and i ended befriending them easily. The next con i went to, i was desperately looking for someone and failed because i was trying too hard, so dont fall in my footsteps

I've been to 40 cons, and every woman I've ever dated, I've met at a con. So let me be the first to tell you that it is very rare for meaningful relationships to start at conventions. They are great for meeting people that you either never date, or regret dating. There are a few success stories out there but they are rare. I personally just go to cons to get completely plastered with my bro's. Thats how to make the best of the convention situation.

Haha, I've never been to a convention and this thread is a bit old, but I had to add this. Just go cosplaying as Miroku, Tamaki (Ouran), or another playboy type, and start using some of their classic lines, pretend you're in character to overcome the shyness! If you're lucky they won't think you're joking, either way some interesting conversation is sure to follow.
