Women who cosplay, this is just a question, how do you feel about going to a convention like this?

I personally would not cosplay a character that dresses like the examples, but if I were to find one that I liked and enjoyed her character, I might. I feel that the cosplayer has to respect herself enough to go to a con dressed like that and be prepared for the possible perverted or sexual comments she may receive. If that makes sense.

When you make these types of costumes, its bad to say but you need to have a thick skin. You hear good, bad and ugly comments usually a lot more than other con goers. I personally would love to cosplay mai and my boyfriend is dying for me to be cammy. and +1 to xueli. sometimes, people make costumes to join a group or fit in with friends so it's not right to make people justify their decisions, you never know the background story!

@ xueli- You rock, just sayin' xD.
Personally, even if a person is cosplaying something for the attention, how is that hurting you in any way, form or fashion? Admittedly, we all like a little bit of attention when cosplaying. People seem to live in this delusion that the only reason people, especially women, do anything is to gain attention from the opposite gender. Maybe instead of just assuming that the person doesn't like the character they are cosplaying, you could start a conversation about said character or series with them. If someone's cosplay offends you, there's an easy solution. It's called 'look the other way' =p.

If I ever wore a costume like that, I would wear skin-tight flesh-colored fabric underneath. I've seen people who have pulled it off (mostly Cammy) quite well using this method. From afar and in photos you can't even tell it's not their real skin under the costume. It'll keep you much warmer than a skimpy leotard and it'd prevent misfortune accidents from occurring.
But if someone wore that without a skintight suit underneath, huuuge props to them! I'd greatly respect them.

I love how people like the ignore parts I say whenever it suits them.
Like when I said:
"And yeah people should cosplay wtf they want, doesnt mean it annoys me any less"
DO WHAT YOU WANT, doesnt mean I cannot think its stupid.
