Not that I cosplay, but after having a huge fight with con-goer about the anti-harassment policy and how it's not ok to threaten someone with domestic violence as a joke no matter what she/he is cosplaying and that cosplay =/= consent doesn't just mean you don't physically rape them, I'd imagine they'd hate people.

^I'm sure it's just a quirk they're willing to put up with. I mean, they keep doing it, and in increasing numbers. It must be worth it.

YES... The only thing I cant stand is when girls cosplay something having NO CLUE who the character is just because its a sexy and populair character so they get alot of attention. Why the fuck cosplay a character YOU DONT KNOW.

...because god knows you can't be good looking yet like/know a character enough to dress like them at an event right? Never mind the growing number of women in fandom

Yeah caus thats totally what I just said. Especially since I said "having NO CLUE who the character is." caus it happends all the time. Also people asking who they should cosplay. Im like FUCK cosplay who YOU LIKE. Seriously. ( woman who actually know the chick they are cosplaying and actually like her... and not doing it just for the LOLS LOOK AT MY TITS are in fact... THE VERY BEST ) And yeah people should cosplay wtf they want, doesnt mean it annoys me any less

I don't think there are as many of those women who do it for attention than many male fans think there are. I don't believe people should have to prove themselves to others for validation of what they like. For whatever reason that person like that costume, then they have the "right" to wear it. That and considering some (a lot) of the pervs who go to the cons, I'd rather go without their attention

A lot of girls probably just think the outfit is pretty regardless of the character. And while i get what your saying kidpool and genuinely hope they geek over that character, I don't necessarily think its for attention or a bad thing. I mean if I know the character and its done well then its enough for me to see my idols personified!
