Settling In

Hello, I am Matthew Reed. I am shy but a bit too open at times and cross into too much information or odd trivia. I will talk if it is about something that interests me and feel little shame or embarrassment for what I have done mainly because I have not done much at all. I might come off as a know-it-all but I would prefer not to but it goes with my pursuits which are currently undefined. My primary goal in life is to understand things so what I believe in shifts around a lot though I retain my core beliefs which is kind of a pessimistic idealist mixed with a bit of something... I do not do well in groups and breaking ice so I thought this site would help me get to understand how others think. Been sick for a bit so I have let myself become a recluse.

Welcome to the site and enjoy your stay! Aren't we all trying to understand life to an extent? Most of us are in that period where you're in the transition into a new life, and I think it's only necessary to think about things like life and what it is. You're not alone here basically, ahaha. Never thought of it that way. Assumed that people naturally want to understand each other on a subconscious level but there's something wrong with me to actually have to think on it. I have trouble with names too. It is supposed to be the ultimate compliment if I remember someone's name. Pretty bad habit for someone who wants to be a teacher but I care about my potential students so I actually do remember their names but none of my colleagues.

Well, that's just my opinion on it. I just think almost all people think about these things once in a while at least. As for remembering someone's name... Ahaha, yeah, it points to them being someone special too. I wish you the best of lucky on the teaching career. Who knows, you might probably get better at names. c:
