Otakon 2014

I wish I could book for a room already, but I don't even know if I'm going yet. It depends if I get into the artist alley or not. >___<

Even though it's a little less than a year away, I can't wait till Otakon! I'd love to go ahead and book a room, but my friends that I normally go with can't make commitments till a few months prior :(

@Nickhun: Yeah, I would recommend booking the room like right now. Once January hits, you will most likely find rooms that are like, farr away from the convention. Like, I booked a room with my parents for Otakon next year, in case something happened with the group that I normally go with because their just...Yeah.. *sigh* @Marissa: OMG. I KNOW HOW YOU FEEL. Thing is, my other friend, who does most of the reservations when we go to Otakon, she's sort of picky when it comes to rooms. Like, I understand the group want a nice, big room and everything in case they want to hang out, but you gotta realize that 90% of the time we're at a convention. And, my group is the same way. Like this past year, they (a group of 8) waited till March. MARCH I TELL YOU. To book a room. Makes no freaking sense but hey...I didn't book the room so I don't have a say. But yeah, I totally feel you.

Normally it's either 3 or 4 of us, and we always get a two queen or king room, and bring a blow up mattress (which normally the guy sleeps on if he comes, haha). Normally for Otakon we end up taking a taxi. I haven't stayed close enough to the Convention Centre yet to actually be able to walk, lol, and it's all because we wait so damn long to book a room! I'm in charge of booking the rooms for Katsucon and Otakon, but I can't do anything until I have definite 'yes's!

Yesss I'm sad I didn't find out about this site until at otakon until I went this year! Back. Of the program lol. Coming from nc next year so if anyone wants a ride from here to there lemme know. Should be going with some friends. But I'd love to meet people to!

Last year's Otakon was the first con I've been to. It was such a blast and I'll definitely be going again in 2014. I'll probably go as Kagami Taiga from Kuroko no Basuke.
