Masterpiece is a very strong word. There aren't many series I would grant the title to. But I suppose... Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood Neon Genesis Evangelion Revolutionary Girl Utena Mahou Shoujo Madoka Magica (only when factoring in Rebellion, it doesn't get the title just by the TV series) Code Geass Other than that, there are series which sort of deserve the title, but I don't count them because the anime are adaptions of a work that is even better (i.e. the Baccano! light novels, the Ouran High School Host Club manga, etc.)

Fire Emblem Fates is coming out in 2 days, and I'm hyped for that. Also looking forward to Persona 5, and the FFVII remake.
