I´m one of those hopeless otakus and when i say hopeless i mean like I´m in it so deep that i dont follow mainstream.
Tatami Galaxy,Kara no Kyoukai, Monogatari series and Evangelion for example are my favorites,if you dont know about them then there is still some hope for you so your parents should rest easy.
