I'm curious to know, in what ways could a game of D&D be a disaster? Sounds interesting, I may give it a try soon. Yeah, physical therapy is expensive from what I hear. Best to take it easy for a while. I have a few back problems myself. It took some damage from when I was a kid having to walk a long distance everyday with a super-heavy backpack. Yeah, I definitely wouldn't like having designated cosplay areas. Trust the Japanese people to come up with rigid rules like that. I mostly stayed in bed for the past few days, because I think my chest cold is coming back. There's some terrible stuff going around now, including antibiotic-resistant illnesses.

I've had allergies at some places I lived. Other places, hardly any at all. Yeah, sword ferns are very common here, even in the city. Here's what they look like: http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_emWckjT2dns/TOmbSAnKTXI/AAAAAAAAAPs/UBN1gpP-9kI/s1600/70010332.jpg Yeah, a Missingno cosplay like this would be fun: http://fc09.deviantart.net/fs71/f/2010/093/e/1/Missingno__by_Koji45.jpg Nice. I always wanted to get into D&D, I know a few people who play it. I'm not very familiar with Log Horizon, that's another series to look into. Is it similar to Sword Art Online? Yup, there's 4 characters in the party. There are some really awesome combos out there, but I never really needed to use one yet. I'll probably end up starting over in hard mode sometime, so there's enough difficulty to make me need to use a combo. A lot of it just depends on who/what you're fighting, and what items you have equipped to prevent poison, silence, protection from water/fire/thunder damage, etc. A knee injury? Ouch. That is no fun at all. I hope it heals up, and soon. Yeah, I found myself always trying to navigate around people taking photos, so that I'm not in their way or in the photo. Some people do block passageways when taking photos, and it can get annoying. And I've encountered lots of people taking photos near the top/bottom of the escalators, creating a real bottleneck. The areas right by the escalators are marked as no-photo zones, but they really need to extend those zones. Heh.

I have pretty bad allergies. Not fun at all. But can't do much about it. We get the reds oranges yellowes and in betweens. Sword ferns? They were fun while they lasted though :3. It would be epic to see someone cosplaying missingno! All the nostalgia. I love Monks, I usually play one in D&D, though it depands on the campaign. I don't see them very often in video games though...One reason I was very happy with the Log Horizon anime, they had monks among other interesting classes. Kinda wish the game from the anime was real. the support classes looked like they made for some interesting strategies. But that's completely off topic XD" Oh wow...*________* That sounds...pretty awesome. It would be interesting to see which combinations balanced the best, and of course in a party situation (which I'm assuming from the fact that you said four characters?) to make them balance each other....gah...I seriously need this game now. eff. May have to wait till after Otakon I've been out of work for two months with a knee injury and I'm still trying to balance finances. Add in to my two main cons coming up and it's pretty tight at the moment. It sounds a bit like Otakon with the big con center and lots of escalators...and of course the crowded, though my one big beef with Ota is the lack of decent out of center places to take pictures. Theres a pretty set of outdoor fountains and a harbor nearby but...it's just not amazing for shoots.

Allergies are no fun. I don't get bad allergies here except for the occasional itchy eyes from the cherry blossom pollen. Yeah, we don't have much of the reds in our fall colors, except for some non-native trees. We mostly have some yellows from the alders and big-leaf maples. The greens are always dominant, from the firs, cedars, sword ferns, and other things. It is called the Evergreen State, after all. :) Ah yes, I remember playing around with lvl 255 pkmn, they go right back to 100 after a battle. And of course Missingno (I want to make a cosplay of this sometime!), and other things. Monk is one of my favorites, along with Ranger, White Mage, Dark Knight, and some others. Yup, you can have each of the 4 characters with they same job if so desired. One other cool thing: There's the fixed command, (which are the set moves for your character's job), and the Job Command. You can have that be another job's moves. So for example: Let's say you leveled a white mage, but you want to switch his job to black mage, but still want to be able to use white magic moves as well as black magic moves. All you do is set the Job Command to White Magic. And the Fixed Command will always be Black magic, unless you change job. So it's a good idea to set it to one that goes along well with the job, factoring in the equipped item ratings, and other factors. For example, Arcanist compliments Black Magic very well. Yeah, it is a nice con. It's a big convention center and there's lots of walking and escalator rides, yet it's crowded at the same time. The outdoor area is always awesome for photoshoots and a little bit more peace & quite. I've been going every year since 2007.

I lived in the NE for a little while and the autumn was out of this world. I spent some time in Maine and New Hampshire, and the scenery was really neat with all the granite and mixed-wood forests. Very different than what you see out here. I have heard good things about Zetsuan No Tempest, but haven't checked it out yet. Maybe I will over the weekend. I see what you mean about the 3D, it bothers my eyes, and I rarely use it. Only if I cover one eye and use the 3D, I'm alright. But when looking at it with both eyes, I can't take much of it. Pokemon Red and Blue on the gameboy color started the whole thing for me. I remember having fun experimenting with the glitches in those games, crazy stuff. X/Y was ok, but the plot and Team Flare was a bit of a let-down. Mega-evolutions were interesting though. Yeah, Bravely Default has lots of Job roles that you can choose for the characters. You unlock them after beating bosses, and there's job levels and exp. This page has the info about them: http://finalfantasy.wikia.com/wiki/List_of_Bravely_Default_Jobs I pretty much stopped at FF10. Tried FF13, but I just wasn't able to get into it all that much. It was ok. Same here, the good thing about the con I go to (Sakura Con) is that there isn't too much of the elitism compared to other cons, from what I heard. It's a tame crowd, IMO. And yeah, I see what you mean about the cosplay humor. The spontaneous nature of it makes it a lot more funny and real than being scripted and practiced. I'm familiar with Naruto, and that was pretty funny!

Yup. Oregon does have some neat trails! The state is famous for rain, but there's lots of climate complexities. You can have a semi-arid steppe 100 miles away from the temperate rainforest, separated by a range of jagged snowy mountains. I enjoy almost all of Shakespeare's works. I like all the ones you listed, while adding King Lear and Macbeth to the list. Bravely Default is a lot of fun. Worth buying if you have a 3DS. It kinda reminds me of some of the classic turn-based Final Fantasy games but with modern innovation. And the battle point system, where you can essentially "borrow" (Brave) up to a couple battle points and then attack/heal/item that many times in one turn. Or you can "default" and defend, so you can store up and save your battle points. Up to 3. I know exactly what you mean, there is a lot of elitism out there. And wow, that would have been a great skit. At the con I go to, quite a few cosplayers set those up and they're often entertaining to watch.

No worries, I've been busy too. I just got back from a fun little trip down to Oregon. I hiked partially up Mt Ashland, in the SW part of the state. I always make a point to go a couple times a year, for the mountains, town, Shakespeare festival, and Japanese garden. :) I can always play GBA2 on my computer, but being addicted to Bravely Default has been in the way for a while. It's good to see that there are people that make cosplay for the fun of it. I have seen some that take cosplay/photoshoots so seriously that they aren't having as much fun as they could be. :3
