I confess, I'm a mixed bag of emotions right now. The tragedy in Las Vegas is so fucked up, and seriously, fuck that Piece of shit who caused it. I know that shootings in the US are common, sadly, and thanks to that, it has made me numb towards them because they happen so often (whether they're small or big). While Vegas was tragic, it hits home hard because there were three people from my hometown that were there when it happened. One of them didn't make it, she was my neighbor that lived down the street from me. The other two, who were a young couple with a child at home, made it. I offer my condolences to her family and may she also rest in peace. I offer a prayer to the other two who are currently in the hospital recovering from their wounds, as well as a donation to their gofundme. My sympathy to those who were injured and those who lost their lives. I think the thing that makes me feel like shit is that I wouldn't feel this way had they not lived in the same town as me, attended the same high school, and had known them. I always think that these things wouldn't happen to me or someone I know, but when they do, I lose a sense of security and realize that they could happen. While I didn't know them personally, I still feel the pain and I know our town will as well. Rest in peace those that passed away. Sorry if this is so convoluted, but as I stated in the beginning, I am a mixed bag of emotions at the moment
