I've been to Katsucon several times, Anime USA several times, Otakon 2015. My schedule is getting busy in the next several weeks. My buddy and I are planning on covering several cons as press & panelists: AniMore 2016 (I think this is their first time) January 22-24, 2016 Katsucon 2016 2016 February 13-15, 2016 Star City Anime 2016 (Same company that hosts Animore) February 5-7, 2016 We may also do Magfest, which is more game oriented. Later on Anime Mid-Atlantic 16 2016 June 17-19, 2016 Otakon and AUSA again. Since you mentioned cosplay... We did an interview with a Cosplay Maker Space that got kickstarter backing. They have a building where they can share tools, supplies and expertise. studiocosplay.org Be careful to make sure you go to the org. the other urls end up at adult sites,(NSFW). They have a great model for a collaborative environment. Good spot for like minded friends.
