The name is Eric. I am also commonly known as Captain Nikolai. That...is simply my name. My alias? The Black Lightning Alchemist. My friends simply call me Niko. About me? I'm a 23 year old video game and anime loving nerd (I brandish that title with pride) living in Connecticut. I'm a full time college student at Gateway Community College, and I work part time at Lakeshore Learning Materials in Hamden. I live on my own, with only my cat Mew (yes, I named him after the 151st Pokemon of the National Pokedex... =3) to keep me company. I drive as well. I can say I hold my own.
Now to talk about what I really love...games! I've been gaming since I developed motor skills, and I don't think I'll ever stop, no matter how old I get. Some of my all-time favorites are Zombies Ate My Neighbors, Super Mario World, Mortal Kombat II, and Sonic the Hedgehog 2. I prefer the old school, but that doesn't mean I refuse to keep up with the times! I currently own a Playstation 3, Nintendo Wii, Playstation Portable, and Nintendo DS. Some of my current favorites for those are God of War III, Super Smash Bros. Brawl, Dissidia: Final Fantasy, and Pokemon HeartGold. I tend to remain within my area of comfort when it comes to gaming, which are mostly platformers and fighters, but if I think I have a shot at winning, I'll try a shooter every now and then.
I find anime pretty awesome too. Anyone who loves Fullmetal Alchemist is automatically cool in my book...it's my all time favorite series! Yes, that includes FMA Brotherhood as well. Other favorites include Cowboy Bebop, Trigun, Dragonball Z (nostalgia reasons, it was one of my very first anime alongside Sailor Moon and Samurai Pizza Cats), and Samurai Champloo. Action and comedy anime are my favorites, especially when combined (a la Kenichi: The Mightiest Disciple), but my tastes are open to pretty much anything non mecha. I dislike mecha anime with the exception of the Appleseed movie series, Samurai 7, and Megas XLR if you count it. Recently though, I've watched the Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagaan OVA and am currently watching the Japanese dub of Pokemon: Best Wishes. I've got a wishlist of anime to watch, but never enough time to watch it. I will...one of these days!
