Who was raised by assassin so he has to make him better than that. Also apparently we're getting the bat family

Lamby @momoichi my issue isnt the lore of gabaghul. its the feeling it gives the universe. it makes it feel much smaller that we're hoppin all the way to china instead of investigating anywhere else in america. like metropolis is right there, add that somehow! itll make the world feel so much bigger, plus itll be kool to see how superman and batman balance their unique issues with crime in their respective cities

godspell @godspell you can't do that. You have to write separate movies with their own tone and themes. Like why dc failed to begin with. Everything was film in the same tone and dark gritty themes. The only ones that had their own thing was Shazam aquaman and wonder woman

godspell @godspell You can't. Gotham draws you in and the rent is low. People are poor as it is to move out. There are people who don't give up on the city. There are people who embrace this city as a cesspool of darkness. Superman can't even fix gotham and he's tried. The insurance in metropolis crazy high. Every major city has super villains.

godspell @godspell Slowly draw a narrative that happens around the group of characters together instead of making them forced. Batman v superman was dumb and it made batman and superman similar instead of contrasting. Bc the sun always shines on metropolis. We are getting a young superman traveling to metropolis for the first time

godspell @godspell Marvel works so well because whatever genre they choose just so happens to have a super hero. That's why Captain america movies are political themes in it. Like what would happen if Captain america was between liberals and conservatives basically

If he could effectively ruin the waynes he'd be known to everyone as the main who destroyed the Wayne name

Lamby @momoichi edward in the batman doesnt have ocd, and his attention seekingness is minimal compared to other iterations of the riddler. more of a loneliness instead of raging narcissisms. his bitterness coouullldd ghave rooted ghim to gothem, BUT in the comics we're given no reason tobelieve this. seems like he only starts to hate gothem personally after finding out about the renewal

godspell @godspell Yeah but in the end of the movie. He was panicking and losing it because he lost. And he was thinking of batman words how everyone will only think of him as only a murderer. His ocd present from his planning to his obsession on writing everything down. I wouldn't be suprise if it gets worse in the sequels

Lamby @momoichi i dont think he cares hes a murderer, he cares about being a loser. the comic kinda diverges from the movie. movie edward DOES seem narcisistic with the whole 'your not as smart as i thought you were' where as in the comic he just wants people to see the truth, he IS really smart. he IS a genius. but people just see a loser. even then he isnt driven to 'prove them wrong' he just tries to get recognition he does rightfully deserve and then he's on the warpath to find the truth. he doesnt have ocd, he has fixations seen in general anxiety. he fixates and has intrusive thoughts, but he doesnt display any other symptoms of ocd anywhere else. he just gets caught up in his thoughts in that moment, its not habitual.

Lamby @momoichi i love it so much, i love edward so much. as someone with anxiety (and sometimes hyper fixation and suicidal ideation) it is so accurate. the only issue i have is it kinda humanizes him too much? like i said before, the movie paints him as this guy that is lonely but big headed and down right cruel. he poisons a guy with rat poison and has his face eaten by rats and bludgeons multiple people. but in the comic hes freaked out by gore? its not very consistant, like two different characters. movie edward gives me 'nice guy' incel vibes where as the comic gives me insecure incel vibes. i kinda prefer movie him, but dano REALLY captures mental illness so well, i wonder if he spoke to people about it or has some experience himself?

Lamby @momoichi yeah but dr freeze didnt really kill people, he just robbed banks and killed people who got in the way. and again, the guy who told an orphan hes a fucking loser probz wont be sympathetic to freezes cause xD plus the whole 'i love my wife this much' works best with the batman trilogy because batman has a love interest, so he can better understand where hes coming from. maybe if they did a dr feeze batman can have a nonsexual fling with a reporter? thatd be cute, she hounds him for a story but ends up falling for him, and hes forced to come out of his shell because of her persistent presence.

godspell @godspell No I hate all the two faces. They're no way close to how awesome two face is. But batman becoming a better person I'm sure it'll sway him. All mr freeze can be a terrible bastard he usually inflicts ppl what he feels by freezing parts of people and leaving them alive. I recommend Gotham central. Different events from POV of cops and detectives

godspell @godspell Two face is Harvey dent. He's a split personality of Harvey that came out because of his abusive father that was two faced. He would be a caring father and hardworker. When he'd get home at night he would drink and beat Harvey. He would play a game tossing a coin. But Harvey would lose and get beat bc both sides of the dollar coin are heads.

godspell @godspell He went to therapy where he suppressed the other him. Concentrating on his studies in law let him close him up. But with his father seeing him gifting him the coin bc he suffers from althemizer makes Harvey slowly snap. With him having so much pressure at work against his war on the mob. His wife as well is another factor because she wants him home to have a family

godspell @godspell Then the acid to the face at the court cause him to be more vocal on his split personality. He believes in duality. That everything is two sides of the same coin. When he uses his coin you cannot defy the coin. That's why I hate all the movies. If it's not his outcome he flips it again or it's always evil Harvey in charge. But it's both contrasting sides depending how the coin lands

godspell @godspell You asshole xD lol It's what makes the perfect two face. His mental illness history. The amount of pressure that occurs from work family life and his father was the breaking point. Him deciding all his decisions on the coin. He may do evil deeds but he'll still do good bc both are present. There are amazing stories where both sides are on conflict. How Harvey hires nightwing to protect a love interest from a killer

godspell @godspell And the killer was two face. Or when Gotham suffered an earthquake. He went throughout the whole city deciding what to do. And it kept landing on the good side so he was saving citizens

godspell @godspell His crimes deal with duality anything with two. And if he's stealing for example nuclear codes. He wanted to sell to either Russia or U.S. the codes. But batman already predicted he'd double cross both of them. Anything with twos is his M.O.

godspell @godspell I feel like the motifs. The proper build ups. His beliefs and obsessions have never been explored same with character designs with his suits
