RIP if only i wasn't a complete noob here i wouldn't have just commented on my own profile like a smartypants. got to throw in some edits to =p here: i have like 35ish mins before i have to dipset to drop off a bday present for a friend but if you don't mind we can start now and pick it up later! before I can answer that, I think i'd like you to define basic moral consideration. to me that is not equivalent to refraining from the slaughter and consumption of nonhuman animal flesh, but clearly from your rationale it is. as it stands I do believe animals are qualified for basic moral consideration, but am unsure as to why it explicitly has to be abstaining from their consumption. I tend to feel alienated when ppl say 'animals' but generally don't include humans. I think it fetishizes our sapience just a bit to act superior in that way to the animal kingdom. I could rant a lot more on that but i wanna hear your thoughts

maybe i'm decently cognitively smart, but i've been really dumb in other intelligences recently so it's hard for me to let you just recklessly think that haha. and if anything you've demonstrated better logic/rationalization skills than i thus far, so i very much so appreciate that compliment. sometimes the swaggy vocab is enough to convince smart people that i'm smart too. it works all too well =p

yeah I mean trivially me as well, to the enjoying our chats bit. i don't typically do things i don't think are fun =p and yeah absolutely. if you present me axioms and discuss theories and corollaries that stem from those i would be delighted to hear and potentially refute those and receive clarification from you as to why i'm a dummy, in any subject matter, veganism, the ethics of it, the ethics of other shit, whatever. love that kind of stuff. and let me be clear, i am a dummy haha. i'm good with words but it's mostly hot air and random streaks of runaway electricity. that being said, the imposition of your will on to my own is welcome and invited. we should have a feast to celebrate this momentous occasion ^_^
