No no, there's no need to apologize! Honestly, I like seeing people being passionate about something. Honestly, I'm frequently the same way (I tend to like the less popular characters). Like I said, in Lapis' case I just felt she was relate-able. Different people deal with pain differently that others. Sure the backstories of Pearl and Garnet are much more painful than her's, but maybe unlike them she never really had friends or anyone that cared about her to begin with. It's harder to overcome her kind of personal struggle if you have few/no positive experiences to look back on. Given, I can only speak for what I know about her, not how she's developed since then. I have a few weeks off coming up. I'll try to remember to watch it sometime in my time off.

You have an entirely valid point. I dunno, I guess I just kinda felt like I could relate with her a bit. Sadly, it sounds like she hasn't been developing the way I would have liked her to. Again, I haven't watched the show in a super long time. I did enjoy Peridot quite a bit after she turned "good" too. It's pretty amusing watching her struggle with logic vs emotion and frequently wind up doing something super awkward. Also, the "Coyote and Roadrunner" episode with that super fast corrupted gem was a riot XD

I have to get caught up. The last I watched was around when Jasper died. After that I kinda forgot about the show because it keeps going in and out of hiatus (also it's on the "almost all Teen Titans Go almost all the time" channel). I haven't been able to stand CN the last few years because every time I turn it on, it's freaking TTG... I like your analysis of Jasper though. She was a very interesting choice. I liked Lapis because she seems like a very deep and mysterious character that has a lot of room to grow under Steven's influence. She is kind to Steven (if a little tsundere) because she trusts him, but her difficulties with trusting anyone due to frequently having been taken advantage of and enslaved are a major obstacle to her personally. I was really hoping her and Peridot would wind up becoming almost as important as Pearl, Garnet and Amethyst (my second favorite character, partially on the merit that she ate Pizza Steve XD) because I want to see her grow as a character and gradually come to trust the others like she does Steven.
