Wooooosssshhhh. I storm in on my fire breathing yet handsome devil of a unicorn, and burninate the countryside.

Yeah, exactly the problem, trying to find a place to rent around or under $600/mo that's not in crackhead central. I don't want to work 40-50+ hrs a week just to barely scrape by. Here I can still scrape by on 16hrs and I'm trying to get 32hrs so I have some spending money. I don't mind small places but I don't like roommates unless it's a best friend or girlfriend.

SoCal is expensive though, man.
vampire_neko
I just found it funny because I was thinking of moving to Portland not long ago, but I don't like the weather, I like it warm and sunny. I was thinking that I wish you could take Portland and move it south, like SoCal.
vampire_neko
Lol, now you make it sound like Hipster paradise, like the Portland of California. Lol, I find I still tend to have that cliche view of SoCal from watching too many movies: palm trees and convertible sports cars and all the girls walking around in bikinis. But I know better, it's just the picture that pops into my head. Also been watching Californication recently.
vampire_neko
So how would you describe San Diego? What do you like about it?

What was the bad part of Sacramento like? I loved the summer weather there, it was still very green there but low humidity so even in the 90s, it felt great.
