Hey peeps!
Looking forward to hanging around here and meeting new anime friends (maybe more?). I was an extremely ambitious youngster and career driven, so I missed a lot of the 'normal' stuff and I'm relearning life and people/friends outside of work. Also... I'm kinda lazy about rating stuff on here, but if it's listed, I probably found something about it to enjoy.
I'm fairly new to the anime scene, but I've been making up for lost time and love suggestions, especially if I've got someone to watch and discuss them with :D. Multi-layered stories that make creative use of foreshadowing and provide solid characters provide endless entertainment.
I have a great respect for stories and writers that stay true to their characters. Even if the character is unlikable, a good writer provides an amazing tale and journey that is very "human". Life is messy, people don't always say or do the right thing, and happily ever after doesn't always come. Or maybe it just wasn't what you thought it'd be ;).
Outside of anime...
Travel. I love to travel. New people bring a whole new experience to old favorites and introduce new ones. I'm one of those people that can just get in the car, pick a direction and drive, with no particular destination in mind, just good company or some excellent 'tunes. I can also do the highly organized and planned trips, too. Flexible in that way.
Camping and water (lakes, rivers, oceans), totally my things. I've lived in rural areas mostly, so wandering around random cities (destination optional) can also be interesting.
Indoors... cuddling up for a good anime, reading, dancing (badly lol) to whatever music hits the spot, video games, old-school board games or card games... if it's interactive, I'm in. I also enjoy voice acting and writing.
