The trip's not too bad though, been to Anime Iowa once myself, and Quad Cities a few times for work. Goes quicker than you think.

ef and it's sequel is a really good love story about several people's live intertwining in a small town.
C3.. . Uh, it's about a cursed cube that turns into a loli or something. I really wasn't paying attention to the story; the animation was just so pretty I kept watching.
