I was born in the Philippines. We moved to the UK when I was about 16.
I have always watched animes that were available in the Phili that time like doraemon, onepiece etc.
Then when we moved I couldn't make friends on our town for reasons that most of the people are working adults.
I tried many different ways to make enjoy myself like learning to play guitar, playing online games. Then on one of my online game players there are talking about anime, manga etc and I cant follow up with the conversations. I started watching Ruruoni Kenshin (eng dub) as I always like it when I was in the Philippines it was dub on our native languahe there.
After that I looked for eng dub animes as I dont like reading subtitles before. i think i have watched most of the dub anime that time. one piece was the one that made me watch eng sub anime.
I feel like otaku stuff made me happy its been part of my life since that day.
