Hi well there are those who don't really care if you're an otaku or not but most serious traditional adults still find it hard to accept otakus in society(i've talked with some Japanese who said very harsh words such as otakus really have a hard time coping with the real world, or they just can't socialize like normal people. Ofcourse they didn't know I was one wahaha). Liking anime and being an "otaku" is far apart. Being an otaku is really really obsessive. Many Japanese like anime ofcourse, that's part of their culture. But saying I AM A DIEHARD GODLIKE MOST OTAKU PERSON YOU'LL EVER MEET or simply saying I'm an otaku is another thing. Being obsessed with something is most of the time not good. In foreign countries that's probably normal. Though here according to my Japanese officemate you don't really proclaim it. Otherwise you're just branded as a weirdo to common folk(just like in other countries). Personally, I am one. But I'd rather keep the celebration of mai hasubando's bday or having ikemen dakimakuras and bedsheets at home to myself. Though casually they talk about Oh i like one piece or naruto or blah blah blah. But not to the point that O SHE IS MAI WAIFU or something like that. They consider that weird. Those who subscribe to sankaku complex and danny choo are also otakus. Non-anime folk either think it's weird or just don't give a crap. I personally think otakus here are scary. Traumatized by the stuff I read online :| And how they are depicted in anime.(example is the rapist otaku in BTOOM!)

I haven't watched 5Ds (outside the abridged series lol) But Izayoi Aki has a really nice design! I see why you like her c: I really need to watch some o the other series, I'm so behind. I've only watched the first series and I'm a big Bakura fan, he was even my first cosplay I did with my brother :D as for cards, I really love the Dark Magician! and the Vampire Lord, especially because of the art c:

Buh maybe I was in a beginner bracket, I don't remember it was sooo long ago lol it was a really little shop, nothing official. But maybe I was just that bad xD
