I've been an anime fan for a while now. When I was younger, I really only watched pokemon. But in the past few years I got back into anime with a vengeance, picking up and watching loads of different series suggested by friends I met online. Currently not planning on attending any cons, but if my job ends up being as permanent as I hope and I learn to drive that may change.
