UPDATE: So I've decided I'm not going to accept random friend requests anymore. If you don't write something on my wall first, I won't accept it. I'm not into "friend collecting", and will only be accepting friend requests from people that actually seem to want to talk to me. Also I apologize, but I will NOT accept friend requests from minors (under 18) at all.
So I've always had a difficult time meeting people that like the same things as me. A part of it is because I'm a bit shy and withdrawn, sure, but another large part of it is that I've just never had much luck finding them. So in trying to figure out where I might meet other people like me, I asked myself "Where would I go if I were me and I wanted to meet people like me?" The first answer was "I wouldn't, leaving my apartment sucks", but my second answer was (queue moment of revelation) the internets! So a quick Google search and here I am ^.^
A bit about what I'm looking for here. I'd really, really love to find a nice girlfriend that is into the same things as me, but I sadly don't really have high hopes for that happening. I'm totally open to make friends too, but I find that I'm very, very selective. I'd also really like to meet like-minded people in the Orlando area in general. That said, I'm not at all opposed to chatting with people that live far away, so if you want talk to me or just say hi, feel free to shoot me a message ^.^
Anyway, a bit about me. I'm an otaku (-gasp- no way, right?). I'm an IT professional and an aspiring author. I like to play video games, read books and manga, watch anime and I swear some day I'll get around to signing up for kendo classes XD. Oh, I also love to cook (and hate to clean up after it haha…). For specific things I enjoy, I typically gravitate towards Japanese media. I really enjoy humor, and as such I love things that are funny. I'm also somewhat of a sentimental romantic at heart, so while I find most western romance stuff to be nauseating, cute lovey-dovey plots/subplots in anime, manga, Japanese video games and occasionally very well written hentai do occasionally make my heart melt.
For a bit about my personality, I'll try my best to stick to facts and let things like whether I'm nice or not be decided by people as they meet me.
My dominant personality type is INFJ with a very nearly tied T/F score. While I am very much a INFJ, I do exhibit some tendencies from the INTJ personality type.
irl, I'm very much a kind of aloof dandere type. I'm usually very quiet and thoughtful and when I'm bored or uncomfortable I'm known to retreat into my mind to occupy myself there. However when I'm properly engaged or comfortable I can be very friendly and talkative. Also while I wouldn't label it as subservience, I do really like being helpful to the people I care about or admire (I really like occasionally writing to my favorite artists to let them know how much I love their work and offer other such words of encouragement). I'm also a very independent person. While I do enjoy spending time with friends and such, there are times I just need my space and to be left alone for a while.
